I bought this because I wanted to hear it, and I like pink vinyl. It’s definitely Geoff Rickly (Thursday) singing and it might be a whole bunch of other people. The UN got them taken off all social networking sites, and their album cover (featuring the Beatles on fire) was withdrawn. That’s good enough for me.

I met Geoff Rickly in New York when I was out with Turner. He was very nice, and brought both socks and his mother to the show the following night in Hoboken.

It’s not bad. It’s not great. I’ll listen to it again.

Originally a four disc 7″, this is the first time this has been available on 12″ outside Europe. Contains some unreleased and compilation songs and the like. They released this in January to minimum fanfare.

The artwork on this bad boy is absolutely fantastic. Possibly not to everyone’s taste, but undeniably striking. Unfortunately not their best album in my opinion, but it has it’s moments.

I picked this up for £30 when they supported Hot Snakes the other week. The woman on the merch desk seemed rather thrilled someone was interested in it, and by the time I returned the guitarist (Jon Fine) was also there, so he signed it. I didn’t actually ask him to sign it, nor did I really want him to, but he did and I didn’t stop him and it’s kind of cool.

Really nicely presented, and the vinyl itself is a heavy weight. Definitely worth £30, although you can get it cheaper in America. Of course.

Slocombe turned me onto these guys just recently, so I missed out on the first press. But I like it so much I’d even consider buying it again were they to have a tour version of it when I see them soon.

The packaging is minimal and striking. Everything about it screams quality. It’s a gatefold with a lyric sheet. No fuss. Brilliant.

There was 7000 of these in total. This is from the least limited of the colourways, the Vinyl Bong. I am not quite sure if it’s a case of you may end up with any colour there is, or if they all look like this; a mess of colours. Either way, it’s a nice record and worth the money and not being the biggest Converge fan, I’m wont get my knickers in a twist about it all.

This bad boy has an embossed cover. It’s possibly worth the money for that alone. Another typically high quality Deathwish release.

I know very little about this record, other than it is the first release from Black Face; a supergroup (if you like) featuring Chuck Dukowski (Black Flag) and Eugene S. Robinson (Oxbow), performing songs originally written for the My War era Black Flag.

Dukowski wrote some of Black Flag’s most celebrated songs and as I understand it, he has been sitting on a pile of stuff for years wondering what to do with it all. I believe we can expect further releases in the near future, and as I also understand it these will be 7″ only with no MP3 download. This kind of thing really excites me.

I can’t find pressing information, but what I do know is that I am pretty sure when I ordered I only had a choice of black. However, as you can see I got white vinyl instead. Discogs has two entries; black and mystery colour (blue) so I am presuming it falls under the latter. They even sent a sticker.

Picked this up when Kylesa supported Converge. They had another 7″ on sale but the merch guy reckoned this was better.

Although Kylesa’s contribution is very good, Victims side is just plain brilliant.

This is allegedly a Mexican version of the LP. I bought it from eBay about 8 years ago. The inner sleeve is in a shocking state, and the vinyl has seen better days.

This cover art was due to a number of retailers refusing to stock the album with it’s original artwork. I have this on CD too, as quite frankly – I prefer this cover. I believe there was only one pressing of the vinyl with this artwork, although you can still get the cd version in America.

There is an added statement about free speech on the back cover.
